Eucalyptus gunnii ‘France Bleu’ is a dwarf variety of the cider gum (Eucalyptus gunnii), developed by French nurseryman Jean Renault (known as ‘Rengun’ under Plant Breeders’ Rights)

  Unlike typical Eucalyptus gunnii, which can grow 2 m per year, France Bleu grows to a maximum height of around 2 m (6½ ft), making it ideal for small gardens or container cultivation

• Foliage
  Juvenile leaves are intensely silvery-blue or grey-green, often rounded and aromatic 
  As the tree matures, foliage becomes sage-green and sickle-shaped unless kept in juvenile form through pruning

• Flowers
  Produces clusters of small white or pom-pom-like flowers in summer through autumn (sometimes extending into autumn), attractive to bees and other pollinators

• Habit & Growth
  Compact and bushy, perfect for containers, patios, or small garden spots

• Hardiness & Culture
  Hardy down to –10 °C (H5) or sometimes lower, making it suitable for much of the UK and similar climates thrives in full sun, in moist but well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soils

• Pruning
  Annual hard pruning each early spring helps maintain its compact size and keeps the juvenile blue foliage intact. Pruning back to around 15 cm is effective for rejuvenating straight shoots for cut foliage
