Overview A robust, evergreen, clump‑forming bamboo distinguished by its tall, deep‑green culms and striking creamy‑white culm sheaths that persist through spring and early summer, giving the stems a bold, striped appearance. ‘Campbell’ is notably more sun‑tolerant and drought‑tolerant than most Fargesia species, retaining its foliage well through winter and forming a dense, upright clump ideal for screens.

• Growth habit: Dense, upright, clump‑forming; non‑invasive.
• Culms: Deep green, tall, slender; culm sheaths pale creamy‑white and semi‑persistent, creating a two‑tone effect. New shoots emerge rusty red in early spring before fading.
• Foliage: Evergreen; glossy bright green above, dull grey‑green beneath; long narrow leaves up to 15–18 cm.
• Clump density: Forms an impenetrable clump in sun; more open in shade.
